They really can't accept a lot of Iraqis- because, gasp,* they're such a THREAT...* They also can't except them because they need the "good" Iraqis there building the democracy. Giving them an exit opportunity either undermines the mission, assuming that the mission is viable, or demonstrates lack of confidence in the mission, a mixed message. They really are stuck. I would think that, even with those constraints, we could let their families in for their protection until it's safe for them to go back.
