I thrive on crisis and wish for complete mayhem every day. I wish I was alive in the times of the lawless wild west. In my opinion, buying real estate on leverage at the height of a 2 decade long boom is not likely to produce happy returns. Sam Zell dumped real estate at the peak. I would follow Sam Zell model. Sell when the supply of greater fools is sufficient to take you out. Real estate at this juncture is a suckers bet. Full disclosure: I'm long SRS.
