I asked a question - I'm curious as to how going to school with someone in ROTC will harm others or the country? and you answered only by asking me a question. Well my answer to your question is because everyone can't attend the two institutions of higher learning you listed for one thing. And we have a need for well educated officers. So lets simply use the institutions we have rather than build more military schools. My question remains, what is wrong with the military being "intertwined with the American educational system" in your opinion? Are the other students gonna get army cooties or something? Will other students not despise the military enough if they go to school with people in ROTC - if they see the military has a human face?
