Yes, but did we have Vietnamese colleagues that were in danger or who were refugees? In danger? Certainly. Refugees, apparently not to the same extent but you did have people who where displaced by the violence (including assassination campaigns by the communists), or who would have liked to have moved but didn't see anywhere to go. In Iraq, the "good guys" are pockets within a bad place. Well sort of but not exactly. The bad guys are pockets too. It might be more accurate to say that they are mixed together to a great degree.
