Why don't we just have the government take over every cost, then our manufacturers will be real competitive right? The cost doesn't go away, and to an extent, perhaps a very large extent, it doesn't even go away from the manufacturers. It would be reduced for the car companies, because they have such a large portion of the costs that if you spread it out they would pay less, but other companies might pay more.
