That argument might make sense if it was a choice between letting them in to the US or leaving them where they are. But that's not the choice. They are leaving Iraq because they are in grave danger, and they are going to other countries, like Sweden.
Even if that were not so, I would find your position abhorrent. It's as if you want to tell these people "Sure, your life and the lives of your family are in danger, due to a situation we created, but you're just going to have to stay there because we need you to perform a job for us." That, as opposed to, "Thank you for doing that important job for us, now let us help you by getting you out of danger."
