You believe this story to be true just because Cliff Schecter says it's true? I had that story sent to me and held on to it for several days..McCain, as you know, clarified his Renzi interaction talked about in the same Schecter book...he didn't touch this one which tells me that it's true. It's up to McCain to clarify.. I don't know how closely you follow this thread..we highly respect McCain here..for many of us he's been an easy second choice if Hillary got the nomination...but definitely for me, as this campaign unfolds and his policy and lobbyist ties get revealed, his shine loses luster...and quite frankly, I am disappointed.......the media has been his base as he likes to say and that's all I've known..
