Can't figure out how to post on a new topic so I am "replying" to you,El Matador.

A smart chap named Tomasso recommended purchase of DBA and he was right on the button. More recently he likes COW, a meat Exchange Traded Fund. The idea is that the increase of grain prices should push up the meat prices. I thought this was very reasonable but I've reconsidered. In a depression, the quickest way to reduce the food budget is to decrease the amount of meat consumed, replacing same with carbohydrates. Calories remain the same but the cost drops considerably. So I think COW should be avoided, either as a buy or a short.
