What I want to know from KE is: 1) When will the excuses stop, and the internals be available at ALL retail outlets and 2) When will the new products (Zip+, BUZ, JAZ2, Recordit and DittoMax) REALLY ship?<<

Iomega is shipping more internal Zips now than ever before. It's just that they're all going to the OEMs. Since the internal Zip was never the drive that mattered in the aftermarket, they're not concentrating on supplying it. I really do not understand the problem.

In addition, NEC has begun to ramp production.

Now, I do agree with you about the new products. Iomega is now officially late with DittoMax, Buz, the notebook Zip and Recordit. Oddly, I called sales at Iomega about a month ago, and asked when Recordit would be released. I was told that a) it would be bundled with Buz, and b) officially, it was "released." Since it's not available in any store and you can't buy it direct from Iomega on their website, I don't get that. Even though it is a plain fact that computer companies are always late with new hardware and software products, I believe that Iomega needs to do a better job of keeping their story straight with respect to new products.

Still, I think it's premature to be calling for Kim Edward's head.
