Hello Seeker,

The idea is that the increase of grain prices should push up the meat prices.

High grain prices devastated the price of beef. Feed prices too high so many many sold / selling beef inventory at a loss and leaving the business. Low prices. Once the fire sale is completed pricing power returns to last men standing.. That's the theory... here in Toronto it is not uncommon to get prime rib 4.99/lb or less on special.. I recently stalked up my freezer. I have no idea of the future but I have noticed that the cure for low prices tends to be low prices.
