You can tell people the truth, but that probably won't get you elected.

Someone else I discussed this with this morning pointed out that people often don't want to hear unpleasant (if accurate) analyses about them.

If the Georgetown and McLean multi-multimillionaires were singled out for who they really are, an entrenched wealth and power elite, instead of preaching about the poor folks elsewhere, they would squeal like stuck pigs on a spit.

But the portrait is accurate. They spent a long time getting where they are and even longer digging their roots deep in the Washington machine. Crooning their sympathy and "connection" with the downtrodden is a joke.

When was the last time Hillary or McCain didn't have a staff of dozens or hundreds of people around to serve their every need? But they understand heartland values, LOL.
