Yes, the distractions of perceptions and who spins them best will intrude on people trying to vote for whoever they think will actually do something to help them. For now it's sympathy to the less affluent, this fall it will be patriotism bashing BS again, and so on. That's why so many folks conclude that we get the politicians we deserve. We lap up the BS and clamor for more.
