We disagree. We never know where the optimism comes from -- and by optimism I mean bullishness -- but it always comes in any decent countertrend rally. The decent short is one where you are scared -- where you seriously consider that you could be wrong. In a downtrend, the sizeable corrections are accompanied by such bullishness. It is an essential tenet of Elliott, and of course, sentiment analysis.
