I can't remember ever having a "compassionate forum" like this.

When it flows naturally from more pertinent questions about how certain issues and policies would be addressed, then I can absorb it or reject it (as in not being comfortable when told that God was acting through George). But to have it be the whole point of two hours, trying to ascertain the exact beliefs of the candidates- and then watching both try to walk the line between sounding like people of faith, but also tolerant and rational and inclusive, the whole thing rubbed me badly the wrong way. It was just too much of a game.
All my hair is still standing on end.
