It's the question that the huge proportion of Xtians (whatever that giant percentage is) wants to know. If the candidates don't TELL them, then they have to rely on coded language (Bush's specialty, if you recall).

Might as well tell the people what they want to know. I know there aren't supposed to be any religious tests- but there clearly are. No one wants an atheist in the White House, for example (ok- "no one" means the huge majority doesn't want it.) We might as well be honest about the religious tests. I think this was a big step in the honest direction- even though it made me uncomfortable.
