RMF, > I just did my taxes the other day and I mentioned to my Wife that she's really dragging us down on taxes cause she's paying this higher rate because she's ONLY a school teacher and I have to grind my days away finding stocks to buy.

I doubt your wife, who works as a teacher, gets taxed at a higher rate than my wife and I. Unless your wife makes a lot more than the usual teacher makes.

By the way, how do liberals treat the success of me and my wife? By calling us the "exception" and taxing us as if we live like the rich and famous. My wife is even considering changing her career to one that pays less than half of what she currently makes. The reasons are mainly personal, but I half-joked that with the amount "rich" people like us get taxed, we won't be losing much in terms of real income.

Now you tell me. What makes the tax "unfair" for your wife, but "fair" for me and my wife?
