I am perfectly aware of those devices. Your point? What are the chances that any terrorists would be able to get their hands on one or more? Reasonably close to zero.

To be honest, neither of us knows what those chances are. What we do know is that the probability is > 0.0, and that's what matters.

Those nukes were their prize assets, they know exactly where each one is. Now, that raises a different issue and that is at least one KGB defector claims that those nukes have already been smuggled into the US and are set up. But that is a different issue.

How is it a "different issue"? You tried to downplay the importance of detonation of a nuclear device in our country, and now you are backing up on your claim -- it is a "different issue". Nonsense. If one is detonated the damage will be massive, even if it is a 1kt device.

As with the SDI discussion, you are the one who spouts without knowledge.

Not to rehash a subject you are unfamiliar with, but my knowledge of SDI is at least as good as yours. But I would think any knowledgeable person reading both of our posts on the subject would have a good laugh at the expense of both of us. That is to say, this is highly technical material, most of which is still classified, and neither of us has access to that information.

Because they certainly did their best to shoot it down.

Why didn't Bush simply veto the bill?
