The direction that McCain is talking about going is one that a huge majority of Americans think is a mistake. Your argument is like when our BOD in our subdivision argued that we should pass the fencing regulations that the architectural control committee drew up because "they worked so hard on it". Despite the fact that no one except for them and their friends actually thought they were a good idea... Yes, McCain has worked hard. But his platform of "more of the same" is not compelling for most of America.
