It's all about GS. Where the toxic waste originates (currently DB) is not relevant, only that it not "saddle" too-big-to-fail Wall Street institutions.
Knowing the street's interest in profit, I would not be surprised US firms are buying heavily discounted waste that they have PRESOLD to the Fed ... like covering a short.
