That post about Obama and the Greenberg Traurig money was not from Newsday. It was from a blog called Hot Air. After asking about the source I looked it up myself.

I just spent some time on Hot Air and have concluded that it's very appropriately named. I also reviewed that Obama story carefully, and it became obvious that the spin is really quite intense.

Greenberg Traurig is a big law firm, and no evidence has been presented to indicate that any of the Greenberg employees who gave to Obama's campaign are lobbyists.

While it could have been a legitimate issue to bring up, I don't think the Morrissey post meets any kind of journalistic standard for objectivity. I'm not sure it even rises above the "smear" category.
