the line that is drawn between ideas and what we will and won't stand for is not the same as dismissing any of our brethen. The notion, I think, is that of damning the sin but not the sinner. We distinguish between the two. But when the sinner just refuses to back off, a sane person will write him off. Willful sinners don't warrant respect. Willfully bizarre of opinion, same thing. If they're unobtrusive about their sin or their bizarre ideas, let them be. If they're in your face demanding equal time and respect, let's just way that I don't think enabling is the answer.
