No Slacker, I think you are very wrong in your analysis of this. I just finished reading every last word of that document and it seems to me that QCOM presents a VERY strong case against NOK.

And contrary to your beliefs about this case, should QCOM get even a small part of what they are asking for, NOK could be in very deep trouble.

Including but not limited to, QCOM being able to completely terminate NOK's SULA without possibility of an extension. At that point QCOM would be free to sue NOK for infringement, (something that QCOM has not done at this point because it is contrary to the terms of the SULA.) QCOM has attempted to honor the provisions of the SULA, in contrast to NOK bringing suit against QCOM in several venues.

I think QCOM presents a very strong argument, based on facts that we have all known for a long time, which are based on the actions of NOK, and things they have said and done. All of these things have been discussed at length here and are incorporated in what I believe to be a very well thought out and cohesive strategy that may very well turn the tables on NOK's attempts to screw with QCOM.

NO...Money is not the only thing that NOK could lose. They could lose the whole enchelada. The worst that could happen to QCOM is we are right were we were before this case started. QCOM splits the company, NOK is forced to license it's patents to QCT on FRAND terms and QTL continues to collect royalties from all of it's honest licensees.

The market has already priced in the fact that we are not getting royalties from NOK.

You may be doubtful of the future prospects for QCOM, but I am not.

And thank you for the link to the document Slacker!

Everyone needs to download and read this. It is close to 90 pages, but do yourself a favor and READ IT!
