There is absolutely no justification for the Israelis not to provide security coverage for Carter. He is a former president of the US. He deserves that level of respect. He is consorting with their bitter enemy and known terrorists. I don't blame them for saying "we want nothing to do with it". Besides, protecting him in Israel may be a job they don't want responsibility for. He has no business being there.
