We will have to just disagree about that. I expected that from reading your previous posts on similar topics so I was surprised you even started this conversation with me. I didn't see any future in digging up the variety of reasons why unions are needed, the present good they do, and then fight off the complaints against them (some quite deserved, by the way). There is, should you be interested, a very old book, a sociological classic, on problems with unions called Union Democracy. Seymour Martin Lipset, one of the grand old figures of my discipline, was an author. It does about as good a job as one might find on the problems with some unions.
