Which makes Harris' attempts to paint ethanol as being only pushed by woolly brained liberals funny... Somebody on one of the alt energy threads posted this wrt Bush/ethanol: "Sometimes I think Bush's role in history is to try out all the bad ideas... ;>)" But to be honest I originally thought it would be a good stop gap technology until we can evolve through hybrid/plug in hybrid/full electric. Especially from the geopolitical perspective. Admit I was wrong. Although there are still some promising things with algae and other non-food sources.
