Unless there's been a remarkably counterintuitive makeover under the reign of Murdoch, the WSJ editorial page is about as hard core conservative as any print source I know of. That particular piece was somewhat more subtle that Bill Kristol calling Obama a commie in the NYT, but it sometimes is important to consider the source.
