I don't get that. If the hysterical people that are yelling that the tipping point is near, isn't that like hysterical people yelling at you to stop because you are near the edge of a cliff? Slowing down or turning around seem to be the smart thing to do.

Here we have all the hysterical people and the great majority of the most respected scientists screaming that we are near a tiping point, isn't the prudent thing to do and error on the side of caution, is to slow down.

Where is the logic?
