Prone to hyperbole or just frustrated? Microsoft tried to charge 5% too and she showed them a thing or two. Not even 1% was acceptable. The 5% on sales of software from other developers that integrate WITH the MSFT server software (which is ok to continue to charge for btw) was knocked down to .4%. Apples and oranges.
