I must have missed it, but who determined the lead time that is needed? I was just guessing for illustration purposes. It really doesn't matter what number you use. It's clearly more than ten years. Even if we could find a consensus in this country, unless we got really draconian it would take a good twenty years to get all the current cars off the road and replaced by Prius clones. Don't know how long it would take China to replace all their smokestacks. It will be probably several decades for them to even consider doing it. Maybe in fifty years...
