People should oppose global warming alarmism! Ever since 1798, when Thomas Malthus predicted that food supply would fail to keep up with population growth, the enemies of individual freedom and free enterprise have used scare tactics to advance their agenda. The claim that global warming is a "crisis" has been thoroughly debunked by leading scientists around the world. Surveys show most scientists do not believe most of the modern warming is due to human activities or that the Earth's climate is sufficiently understood to make reliable forecasts possible. globalwarmingheartland.org
Most scientists and economists believe a moderate warming of the Earth's climate would be beneficial for plant and animal life and for human civilization. They op­pose Al Gore's murderous scheme to slow down the world's economic engine in return for a trivial effect on the Earth's climate. According to Pulitzer Prize winner George Will, Al Gore's plans to reduce human greenhouse gas emissions would cause "more preventable death and suffering than was caused in the last century by Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot combined."
Conservatives should oppose higher energy taxes or disastrous "cap and trade" schemes.
