Carter is the guy who undercut the shah and let Khomeini take over Iran. Khomeini paid him back by taking and holding our diplomats hostage till Carter left office. That display of weakness gave the Soviets hope they could horn into the region and they did so by invading Afghanistan. So in essence you are saying that since Afghanistan so weakened the Soviets that Carters actions over threw the Soviet Union. Actually your post is revisionist crap seen through Republican wingnut colored glasses. It's hard to even figure how you could think that stuff up... you should take to writing science fiction.
