She went on to say that were she POTUS, she'd be calling for an investigation into market manipulation, the same kind that took place with Enron and bankrupted CA utilites and other companies and severely strained municipalities in CA.

The point is that there was no investigation in advance, no legislation to stop this, and nothing from Hillary in 2005 or 2006 to defuse subprime mortgages and CDO's and all the rest.

So if she were president today, it's likely the same credit and housing bubble would have taken place, with her reacting only well after the actual crisis.

I haven't heard her say a word about a commodity bubble in financial markets, except the general notion that oil prices should come down somehow.

There was and is no great insight there, or action to stop bubbles before they blew up, in the 1990's or now. So I can only presume the odds of Hillary being our savior from the next bubble are nil.
