You know what is really scary? When this low interest rate cycle is over the amount going to fund interest on our debt will explode. The fed has been very kind to Bush but it won't last forever. If I recall most Fed debt has relatively short maturities. Well at least social security may get healthier as the trust fund yields will go up also. I would like to see an honest debate on how this massive debt will get paid off.
