There is plenty of discussion in the financial press on what may or may not move markets, free for anyone who wants to read or listen.

If Hillary or Bill had taken preemptive steps when markets were hot and bubbly to say hey, there is a problem here we need to address before it blows up in our face, I would be impressed.

Watching Congress futz around in the wake of the carnage, preaching righteous indignation and warnings about the future just makes me laugh. They are always a day late and behind the curve compared to the big-money guys who run rings around them, and buy them off with donations when times are good.

I can't think of a single politician who impresses me on this score at all. They all failed miserably, and will no doubt snookered again in the next bubble.
