This is the first time I've ever watched an election process this closely, but its becoming so clear to me how the press shapes public opinion and determines the winner of national elections.

The old phrase "you can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear"....it will be interesting to see if the press can do that with McCain this fall.

I keep finding myself thinking about the fact that all the successful bloggers and powerful voices of the press are in the tax brackets that will be raised by either of our candidates. So will they advance or will they tear down the election of a Democrat this fall.

As for Obama, my sense has been that the press has been slightly shifting to a more critical posture for awhile now.
