To All, More on Marginbegone: 1. 16 Mbit DRAM prices are now at $4.55 on the Achilles site. If MU is making any money in DRAM at these prices, net, I would be surprised. Of course, they could be holding back inventory hoping for another DRAM scam from Asia or more dumping charges to temporarily raise prices. But, with pc margins in the toilet, with Microstamp Missing in Action, Sram getting crunched again (see below), and DRAM at its lowest price ever and no demand to speak of, this could be THE quarter. True, we are only 1/6 of the way through it, but it is looking lousy so far.

2. Cypress was one I forgot to mention yesterday. Rumors of their recovery has been greatly exaggerated. A month or two back when all the sheep analysts on the Street started talking about a huge return to profitability for SRAM cos, and an anti-dumping scam against Taiwan on SRAM, the stocks have roared up in price. True, they are still down 50 to 90 pct. from their highs, but they were showing signs of life. At the time, I mentioned everyone was seeing this better pricing for SRAMs except for the SRAM markets, where prices continued to fall. CY made me realize there was nothing wrong with the info I was getting, just with the oddball spin Wall Street was putting on it.

3. Anchor Gaming (Slot) has been wild. Anyone who still owns any, I highly recommend selling it. Great co., but $26 to $90 in a few months is a bit much. It was way undervalued. Now it is way overvalued. I am even considering puts, though I hate to buy puts on cos. where I have made a lot of money on the upside. I have done it in the past, and it has worked often, but I have to take my schizophrenia medication regularly then. And one of my personalities always seems to forget. -g-

Good luck, MB
