I continue to add oil, gas and related stocks to my portfolios.

Depending on how one looks at "value", I presume these mostly would not be considered by most here as undervalued or value stocks now.

I find though I am now particularly drawn to stocks relating to specific geographic plays. It's with these that I am hoping I can get satisfactory results from buying now and holding on over at least the intermediate term - say the next 5-7 years.

One arena is Brazil. As well as holding PBR, I've now got shares in almost all of Petrobras' partners in the two big (allegedly) oil finds recently announced. I'm still searching for more subsea contractors that will benefit from the fields' developments. (There are many such companies, Norwegian-based, that specialize in this business; info on them hard for me to obtain/evaluate though.)

A second arena is the Bakken shale. Same thing here for me. I am continuing to accumulate shares in companies with leases and drilling prospects in this area.

A third is Marcellus. Ditto for me here as well.
