My example of a building in the box shape was meant to show that something that is architecturally pleasing to the eye would have no place in your world.

And my statement pretty much refuted that point.

Pleasing to the eye, can make economic sense if there is a demand for it.

The extra cost of a "cool" building is an esoteric cost

And markets processes allow for all sorts of esoteric results.

In the case of energy production, let me use ethanol as an example; if the production of ethanol is cheaper than oil, then would you be free to make ethanol out of corn - even though it sends food prices out of control causing inflation in the land whereby all people suffer?

In the real world ethanol is a very bad example, since corn ethanol only gets wide spread use as a fuel because of government requirements and subsidies. The problem isn't that we are free to make fuel from corn, the problem is that doing so is subsidized, and that there is a requirement to use ethanol (in some locations its directly required, in others its just a requirement for oxidised fuel and the main alternative MTBE, while cheaper to produce, is an environmental hazard)

Another cost of oil production is the war in Iraq.

I don't agree.

Figure those cost into the cost of oil and all of a sudden the green energy plays made from renewable energy sources are cheaper!

For the most part they aren't even if you count Iraq.
