Canadian Satellite Communications Inc. (Cancom) and Corel
Computer Corp. Announce Agreement to Market and Distribute
Desktop Video Services using CorelVIDEO(TM)
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--Canadian Satellite Communications Inc.
(Cancom) and Corel Computer Corp. today announced an agreement
to market and distribute desktop video services using
CorelVIDEO(TM) Corporate and Remote to Canadian corporations
and government institutions. The agreement, the first of its
kind with a Canadian satellite company, combines the expertise
of both companies to bring easy, scalable and highly
functional desktop video solutions to the entire corporate
enterprise, regardless of location.
Cancom will provide business television and interactive
distance learning services via satellite to FP 500 companies,
institutions and government. In addition, they will provide
help desk services, consultation and training assistance.
Cancom will market and distribute CorelVIDEO across Canada via
its nationwide digital satellite private networks. Presently,
Cancom manages 49 permanent private networks reaching almost
2,000 sites across Canada.
