Dear appro: If you dont like volatility better stay out of tech stocks altogether. Company has many times said that their earnings can fluctuate wildly for many reasons but one that I recall is lasers not shipping on projected dates. Hey, how would you have liked to be a cymi shareholder lost something like 50% of their value. At least we got the fairly steady medical lasers to fall back on while eximer lasers being developed etc. As to press releases, I disagree with you as to responsible companies. Check out bays, or intcs they are very careful not to exaggerate as they fear class action suits. Anyhow, good luck with your investments. As has been said before, "this too shall pass" jdn
