Hitler renamed his party because national socialists no longer represented the true nature of his party.

Hitler did not abandon the "national socialist" title. The name remained National Socialist German Workers Party from 1920 to 1945.

The only name change was to ADD "national socialist" to the party's name in 1920.

I'm sure you can read. You should take the time to do so before posting.

no political scientist would ever make the mistake of calling an ideology that espouses ethnic purity, nationalism, militarism and strong patriotism leftist.

Hitler and his followers must not have been political scientists then, because they considered themselves and called themselves socialists.

In fact, those are qualities found on the right end of the political spectrum. Add to that fascism which suggests a strong alliance between gov't and corporations and you have a strong reflection of the American GOP party albeit without the extreme overtones found with the Nazis. Its why so many people are worried about the state of the American democracy.

Translation: Na na, conservatives are Nazis, conservatives are Nazis, Na na.
