Ed, I agree with your long term assessments of both George S and Charlie G. But, within that frame, I've considered both to be serious journalists. Say, as compared to O'Reilly, Hannity, etc. That is to say, they were committed to certain journalistic values.

It's that commitment that Wednesday night's performance leads me to question. It was both so transparent a display of an agenda and so poorly done that one has to question it.
