how nice of you to say that sweet Suma
I don't post here often, for to me, it leans a bit to the left
but, a I have a story
I went to a Gilda's Club event yesterday - it was gut wrenching and yet inspiring - many cancer people were there, all told their journeys - one man in particular stood out to me [though really all of them did] - he had testicular cancer that had spread, they did massive or aggressive chemotherapy - it killed the cancer but brought on Lymphoma and the lymphoma is terminal - he had his two little boys with him, 2 and 4 - hair was gone, face and feet swollen [he asked the audience if they would mind if he took his shoes off, the applause signaled yes] - here is the critical part - the only reason he was standing there was due to the fact his brother had given him 5 million of his stem cells - it put his lymphoma into remission
stem cells are the miracle drug, imo, that nothing else can match or come close to the benefit they have
I've always believed, wholeheartedly, all stem research should go forward - seeing this family, this man, makes it crystal clear
