GeoTel now serves a total of 193 call-answering sites through 27 customer-premises ICR installations. Revenues for the quarter also included approximately $1, 800,000 related to the initial deployment of the Network Intelligent CallRouter(TM) at BT. This revenue represents a portion of the $7.8-million order, announced in January, to supply BT with the Network ICR. Altogether, new system installations accounted for 72% of software-license revenues for the third quarter.
"The addition of several new customers to our installed base further validates the GeoTel Intelligent CallRouter(TM) as a market-leading technology for enterprise-wide, intelligent call distribution and call management," said GeoTel President and CEO, John C. Thibault. "During the quarter, we continued to expand and enhance our premises-based solutions, most recently with enterprise-wide CTI capabilities announced earlier this quarter."
Thibault also noted GeoTel's continued focus on the Network Service Provider (NSP) market. "During the second quarter, we strengthened our commitment to leveraging carrier opportunities by establishing a GeoTel division dedicated exclusively to marketing, selling and supporting the Network Intelligent CallRouter on a global basis. At the same time, we announced a reseller agreement with Hewlett-Packard which enables HP to distribute the Network ICR throughout the world. These developments, coupled with ongoing product development, are designed to extend the reach of our network-based offering on a broad international scale." |
