I have noticed a lot less traffic on the streets in the last couple of weeks and I believe it is because of the high gas prices. The streets I travel have had hardly any traffic. I will be traveling this weekend and hope that is true of the highways too. Will watch and see how much difference I see in prices.

I also have a 1984 Mercedes 380SL that I have been driving for 24 years and have almost 80,000 miles on it and I have been its main driver. Keep it well maintained and it gets excellent gas mileage. Just can't seem to part with it as it served me so well through all those years. It is also very comfortable for my small frame and when I need power it gets up and flies. My mechanic has always told me to take it out on the highway and open it up once in a while, but for the life of me I just can't go as fast as that car will go. I fear I would see red lights flashing in front of and behind me and probably get arrested and put under the jail for excessive speed for a grandma my age. I can just imagine what a DPS officer would say to me and for sure my family would take my Driver's License from me, although I do consider myself a good driver with no tickets or accidents on my record.
