He will want out of everywhere!

So??

Seriously, Bob, it may come to that. How much do you want this country to hemorrhage money?

I know I keep bringing up the EU. But this block is our biggest competitor on the world stage. All the emerging markets need the western technology EU and American companies provided. There's plenty of business opportunities for US and EU companies, but this won't last forever. At some point those countries will turn to their own homegrown companies.

So we're in a race for business with EU companies.

EU governments aren't burdened with military expenditures like we are. Wisely, most avoided even sending in their modest military contingents to help us in Iraq. So being healthier financially, they're in a position of providing subsidies when appropriate to give their industries a competitive edge.

Add to that the fact that EU corporations aren't burdened with the same level of medical expenses on their income statements as ours are, thus improving their competitive edge.

At any rate, hard decisions need and should be made, IMO.

Do you understand how damaged the fiscal structure of this country is? If you do, how do you envision this spiral ending?

With 78 million citizens now entering retirement and being replaced by low wage immigrants, most of whom send chunks of their paychecks back to their home countries, where do you see the economic growth coming from?

We must have economic growth producing higher tax revenues to maintain and reduce our debt levels.
