A note of recognition! Did you know the Socialist party of NSDAP as early as 1935 introduced May 1st as a public holiday in Germany? All time since then May 1 has been as they called it back then "Der Feiertag deutscher Arbeiter und Hausfrauen". Very early on typical Socialist pieces of action.
