I dunno. Somewhere along the line, he opened his mind so much his brain fell out.

Now, if you are conspiracy minded, you always can take the tact that when he was at Halliburton, he profited so much from his dealings with Iran that he decided to further their ambitions in the ME. Because they are the big winner there. Between much higher oil prices, the elimination of their biggest enemy and the prospects of getting a piece of Iraq with the most oil, it is almost like that was the plan all along.
