Well your post did contain some fairly strong name calling- people that exercised usually are arguing something- I assumed that was the excuse for your language. I just wasn't sure what it was you were arguing.

So while you could argue that who the president is at the time of particular debt levels does not "inform" who puts a strain on the treasury, it seems to me equally likely people could put up a completely credible alternative argument. Not sure you need to assume people are dim or careless if they think that might be the case.
