Pat, when I first looked at the Clinton returns and saw the level of charitable giving, I thought that's good but pretty easy when you make THAT much money. Plus most of it went to the Clinton Foundation, which is OK and pretty common, but maybe a little self-serving.

But then I googled up the fact that in his last year in office, before books and speeches, with income around 400,000 , they had contributed over 39,000.....again, almost a full tithe. I was rather impressed by that.

BTW, the Clinton Foundation will show a value of around 500 million, if you google it. A friend of mine told me recently the value is actually closer to 750 million with money continuing to flow in even though Bill's put it aside for now.

Once the campaigning and elections are over, supposedly Bill intends to get back into full force. This person believes Bill would much rather follow the Bill Gates' model and work fulltime with the charity than do anything political should Hillary somehow get in office.
